The Journey Ends, Cause for Pause

My work at the University has come to an end, as students begin to protest for the resignation of the Vice Chancellor because of the failure for them to provide running water, internet services and other important necessities that one expects it to have. I have decided to resign in order to not be a part of the injustice being done to improvised students, attending University with the hopes of having a better future.

One must know when to fight, surrender and or take a stand, and today I surrender to the voice inside of me that screams "Enough is Enough". After having my land scorched and burned due to male jealousy in January, near drowning in February and two months of no salary, that is more than enough to say, change, transformation and no more hesitation! Take action now and get out while you can. While students are threatening to tear apart the car of the acting University Registrar, the voice inside my head is speaking, shouting, and yet lovingly asking me to move past this experience.

I have done everything in my power to be the change I want to see in the world and at this University and now it is time to change me. Every time events happen I am beginning to see them as a Cause for a Pause, to re-evaluate my life and take time out to honor and heal me. Thank you for participating in this journey with me and giving me space for sharing my voice World Pulse Team!
