VOF Week 1: What 2.0 Web Means to Me

What I like most about web 2.0 is its different interactive features. It allows you to post responses to magazine articles, write in online-journals, and to respond to others thoughts and insights. For the first time on the internet, I have an opportunity to respond to what has been written to me. Often times I get announcements and am unable to respond, or when I do, the people don’t respond back and I feel quite frustrated.

There is something to be said about the interactive process that brings about mental, spiritual and emotional processing on a level, that reading alone doesn’t do. I have been very inspired by the stories I have read, and for the first time I feel a sense of freedom in sharing, which I have never felt before. The women on pulse-wire have a compassion and passion about their liberation that I am experiencing for the first time, and they are doing it within the framework of having maintained their femininity. Often times in the pursuit of equality, many women feel they must throw their femininity out the window to compete with men; but the women on pulse realize they aren’t competing but simply seeking space to exist as they have been created, with all their passion, caring and vulnerability which is what gives us our strength to endure.

Thanks to the team at Pulse-wire for coming up with a creative and interactive way to reach women, because in reaching out it helps us to reach within and pull out the voice that has been hiding in our head, and deep within our hearts!!!
