Make your mental health a priority:

They smile,

They talk,

They carry on everyday services.Yet what we fail to understand is that they are talking lesser than usual. They're smiling and not laughing like before. They are doing everything work but dragging themselves through it.

DEPRESSION is real and it kills.

People/friends/family members would witness that he/she had once said "Am rotting on inside"

Don't let them decay,its a silent killer.

There are two types of diseases:

1.Which have physically visible symptoms?

2.Those which are symtomless,no bruises,no fever,no cough but its eating the person up on inside.

Can somebody treat DIABETES with willpower and no medication? No

Can somebody treat HYPERTENSION with willpower and no medication? No

Let going to hospital for this invisible disease be normalized. All it take at our level to lend an ear, listen to the person ,sharing would certainly lighten the heart.

Listen to your friends and families, talk and understand.

FRIENDS are the best councellers and MENTAL HEALTH is more than a blessing.

Hello, Dr. Shiza Habib,

Welcome to World Pulse! What a joy that a new voice from Pakistan is rising up!

We're so happy you are here. We just concluded our Thriving Thursday session where the topic is about Mental Health. I agree that we need to continue to raise awareness about mental health and how we can help or support those who suffers with mental health issues.

We love to know you more. Please continue to write.

Welcome again to our growing sisterhood!

Hi Dr. Shiza,
Thank you for reminding us of this important message. Depression is absolutely a silent killer and we all can certainly listen more and make sure our friends, families and colleagues are ok. :)

Dear Dr Shiza,
Your story is brief but touching. Reading makes you feel the pain of those who are suffering from depression. It is so silent that we cannot hear it because we are busy minding our own lives. Perhaps asking a simple "how are you" can help people to open up. Yes, friends who listen can help. That's what friends are for :-). Stay safe Dr Shiza, Looking forward to your next post.
