Greetings to All Women all over the World.

Today is your day . . . when the whole world celebrates You.

That shows how important the role of the woman is in human affairs.

"Each year the International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8."

"The first International Women's Day was held in 1911."

In 1975, the United Nations recognized and approved the annual celebration of the International Women's Day.

The idea is to focus attention on the various challenges that women face and find solutions to them at a global level.

As a way of providing a clear road map for action, each year a Theme is chosen to reflect current or envisaged issues to be addressed. This year, the International Women's Day 2014 Theme is "INSPIRING CHANGE".

The IWD Website captures the essence of this year's Theme as follows:

"Women's equality has made positive gains but the world is still unequal. International Women's Day celebrates the social, political and economic achievements of women while focusing world attention on areas requiring further action.

Inspiring Change is the 2014 theme for our global hub and encourages advocacy for women's advancement everywhere in every way. It calls for challenging the status quo for women's equality and vigilance inspiring positive change.

The vast array of communication channels, supportive spokespeople, equality research, campaigns and corporate responsibility initiatives means everyone can be an advocate inspiring change for women's advancement."

And for the Possibilities and Inspiring Changes that we seek for Women?

Everything is possible, you know? The word "impossible" actually spells and pronounces itself correctly thus: "I'm Possible."

It is only the Human Mind and Thought that makes it look and seem different.

We all have the Power to make these changes we want to see in our Societies and in the World . . .

. . . More so The Woman.

The Inspiring Changes?

Here are some excepts of what some of the Women Leaders who attended the recent World Economic Forum in Davos have to say:

Erna Solberg, Prime Minister of Norway

"When you invest in a girl's education, she feeds herself, her children, her community and her nation."

Dilma Rousseff, President of Brazil

"Democracy creates a demand for more democracy."

Marissa Mayer, Chief Executive Officer, Yahoo!

"2014 will be a tipping point. Mobile, bandwidth and the internet of things are going to change people's lives fundamentally."

Christine Lagarde, Managing Director, International Monetary Fund

"We need a reset in the way the economy grows around the world."

Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, President of the Republic of Liberia

"There is no easy fix for youth unemployment. Partnership between the public and private sectors can make a big difference."

Over to you Ladies. Whatever you do, think or say today and henceforth, take a cue or draw inspiration from these Women Leaders (and others you know); and create the "Inspiring Change" that will make our World a Better Place for All . . . Men, Women and Children.

Have a Healthy, Happy and Beautiful Day. . . Now and Always!

Happy International Women's Day To You All!
