GIRL FORCE

I was the first out of 8 in the family of Mr and Mrs Tata Godlove.

My parents told me that l was born in very poor condition. Hence l was also raised up as a poor baby.

At the age of 3 l was attack by nemonia due to our poor condition of living they struggle to traat this illness with traditional helps.

At the age of 6 l started my primary education going to school in torn dresses and bare footed was very nomal to me since most of the children where also in the same condition as me.

At times l had to leave school for some terms just to take care of my siblings as a girl child while my parents will go to the farm.l did not complain or refused  for it was my obligations to obey and respect  them.

This is my struggle as a girl child till l completed my primary education.

When I was 13 l was futunate to live with my aunt in town who sponsor me in my secondary education.

Coming back to the village at the age of 18,l was big enough for my father to start thinking of sending me into maraige.insteat of fudering my education since he was poor..

That is how l got married to a man who stayed with me just for 17years.

(My plege to the girls child)

Starting from my home to the community  ,to platforms like this and why not to Cameroon at large,l will do everything possible on my part to see into it that the girls child has the right she deserves.

That is why I am running an organization called WOSEE (women synergy for environment and education) .ln this organization women will be educated on how to bring up their girls children., enterprenueship, marketing skills, production of basic cosmetic products  and how to manage cosmetic wist inoder not to distrole our ozone layer. They will be able to educate their girl children how to be free from early marages. While the girls will be trained on how to say no to what may ruined her future life.

Let's raised our voices together to let her out of denger, she should be unstoppable  .

Dear Edith,
This your story is quite an experience haha. I am very inspired by it. Did you said you lived with a man just 17years before marriage?

"That is how l got married to a man who stayed with me just for 17years."
Wow! 17 years can't be just. That is a lot of years. Personally I will go for less than two years hehe.
Thanks for sharing and have a great day.

Dear Edith,
You are such a beautiful example of a strong girl who kept going forward despite so many setbacks and barriers. Some would then focus on themselves, but you have expanded your energy to embrace everyone struggling, especially women and girls. It is so good to learn about how you persevered, and what you are doing now. With your pledge to Girls, so much can happen. Yes, create safety and girls will be unstoppable. We are lucky to have you as an Ambassador for World Pulse.
In sisterhood,
Tam

Have a great day dear

Hello, my beloved sister Edith,

I love your acronyms for G.I.R.L. F.O.R.C.E.!

What a journey it has been for you being born in poverty with seven siblings. Your experience made you a very strong woman today. I'm sorry you lost your husband. You are so powerful and resilient to raise your children alone, and to start your own organization. There is no stopping you, my dear, even the conflict in Cameroon could not stop you.

You are an OVERCOMER! You overcome poverty, early marriage, widowhood, and the rest of life challenges that you are not yet sharing with us. Thank you for inspiring us with your story.

Hugs!
