Apr 28, 2022
First story
Patricia Oluchi Onuoha Nigerian, is a young woman and a seasoned leader whom I admire her charisma of simplicity and humility so much in humanitarian services.
Her energetic gesture to always put smiles on the faces of the poor, strangers and needy regardless of ethnicity, colour is second to none.
Her involvement to both youth affairs as the pioneer National Youth Secretary (2013-2020) of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP), Nigerian Council and in her community have added tremendous value to the society's growth through pace setting, motivation, dedication, ardent zeal to work and problem solving.
Bringing the Nigerian Council at the world stage in the SSVP second International literary contest in honour of Francois Lallier with her third position (2018) and second position on third contest for Paul Lamache (2019) are highly commendable.
More so, sharing her vast experiences of the Vincentian Charism invited her to co-speak at the (UN Women) NGOCSW65/NY parallel first virtual event on Women in Decision Making Policy (2021); Guest Speaker at the 3rd Preliminary International Art Competition in South Korea virtual gathering for Nigerian and Los Angeles schools (2021) and Guest Speaker at the National Board of Catholic Women (NBCW) England and Wales monthly virtual program; Guest Youth Speaker at the National Council of Vincentian youths virtual meeting Sao Tome and Principe and invited Guest at Abia State SSVP Youth Conference, Nigeria depict an encouragement to people (women, men, youths, teenagers and children) to grow and strengthen their potentials and leadership skills. And these exemplary legacies are worth emulating.
Her selfless services also impacted lives positively in her home country and extended to other countries of the world: SSVP Nigerian youths culture visit to Ghana (2019) volunteered at the Frederic Ozanam Homeless Shelter in San Fernando, Cadiz Spain (2019) and especially in the post Covid-19 era 2020-2021 in the United kingdom where she volunteered as well.
Currently, Patricia Oluchi Onuoha is the Vice Chairwoman
Global Report Commission Council General International of the Society of St Vincent de Paul.
I have no reservation but to recommend her for this unique recognition.
