Sexual Harassment at work

"The toughest and biggest challenge that I've ever faced is sexual harassment, i was naive and at my 20s i thought life was so easy and having a good paying job was a great deal. little did i know that i ended in to a trap. I still have fear up to today to speak out of it but slowly by slowly am getting courage .''This is very rampant and a lot of women are afraid to speak out because they are just afraid of losing their jobs."

When i gave birth to my beautiful baby girl in 2018, i started thinking of so many things including going back to my life and imagining the same could happend to her when she grows up ....tears all over as i sleep for a time wasted while working under pressure and sexualy harrassed, but its never too late to make a change for a future generation.

But for me now am speaking out about difficult encounters is an opportunity to "lead by example" for my  children, so that “when they grow up, and they're also employed, they know that they have a voice to speak out,and avoid such happening.

"It's not acceptable and if something is to happen then they should say something and feel protected in their job," without fear of retaliation. Many young girls could be going through the same and have fear to speak out fearing to loose there jobs. sometimes i regret having no evidence and hiding all this for the longest period ever.

Am sharing this so that any girl reading can get courage to speak out when sexualy harrased. Sexual harassment is the last thing I want to think about happening to my girls but sadly, it happens to most of us. Avoiding discussion with young girls will just leave them more vulnerable. In fact, the first time I was sexually harassed, I was very young . I want to talk to my girls about it so they are informed and know that I’ll always be there to advocate for them.

I Advocate for girls and will always stand with them.
