Our Baby is born

When I signed up for the second round of the world pulse mentoring program. I never thought that birthing would be part of the process

When applicants were invited to apply for the second round of the mentoring exercise, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to apply as I had decided then to go on an extended personal retreat but I did it as it alligned with my spiritual goals of loving my neighbor as myself. Even though it wasn't exactly convenient for me, I had decided that I would pour out my gifts to someone who hopefully would need it

Sumera Bashir ended up being my Mentee and things went quite well almost from the beginning. All I wanted to do was to listen and guide but as she shared her story of the conflict in Kashmir for self-determination, I realized that it echoed something that is happening in Nigeria. i. e the Biafra agitation

So we decided to write about this in a collaborative book project but we knew that our story would be incomplete if we did not talk about the platform that made the collaboration possible.

So in our book collaboration written in a style we term 'extended conversations' we also celebrate the role of World Pulse in making this happen through the unique mentoring platform etc.

We started writing in September and we finished November.

So ladies, I am happy to announce that the book is completed.

We especially feel that the mentoring initiative of World Pulse should get as much attention as possible because it's a process that brought a special bond between a Muslim woman from the Kashmir region of India and a Christian woman from Nigeria

People should be aware of the love and sisterhood that exists in World Pulse

Since we do not have a huge following on social media we have decided not to self-publish. We instead hope to find publishers etc. that would be interested in our narration of 40,000 plus words
