MY PRAYER FOR FIRST RESPONDERS AND THOSE ON THE FRONTLINE IN THE FACE OF COVID 19

As the day begins, you brace up and take your tools and head to your work stations

Maybe you say a prayer before you leave your home

prayerful, hopeful, willing, ready, present, caring, encouraging, compassionate and smiling is all you put on!

some days are very difficult and emotionally draining for you. when you care for patients and you see them breath their last.

that does not stop you from seeing and caring and supporting and encouraging  the next patient!

when even one patient recovers, it means the whole world to you!

When friends or families or communities come, confused, mad, and throw all sorts of nasty words at you, you keep caring!

that is why I pray for you!

Our God and Creator,

you who was , is and will be

world without end, 

nothing goes on without your knowledge under the sun.

And now when things are out of hand,

When the pain is too much to bear

you have appointed your servants to stand in the gap -to give  compassion only you know best!

you have called each one of them to be your feet and hands and to embody your love ,

and your grace in a hurting world

your servants work around the clock father,

caring for your children in the four corners of your world,

sometimes they also become unwell in the process and you appoint other servant to care for them as well, oh merciful one,

Great one, might one, most gracious one, look at your servants and remember the sacrifices they make. we honour those who have fallen while serving your people, may their souls rest eternally with you .

your servants devotions is like no other. there willing to love, care and serve is for honor and glory of your name, oh Lord!

our greatest physician, our healer, meet the needs of your servants caring for your children a time like this.

May you listen to all they ask of you,

listen to their prayers as they call on your name every morning before they begin serving you and humanity.

come through for them, when they feel overwhelmed with the assignment you have given them.

grant them peace that the world can not give, when they most need it,

comfort them  when the experience loss of courage, patience, patients, friends, loved ones as they serve you.

Oh emmanuel, King of Glory, grant your scientists in the labs the balm of Gilead to heal your people and your land.

Calm the storm in your humanity, because you only can!

We are trusting you even with COVID-19,

That you will come through for your servants, encourage, support, counsel, give the wisdom and enduring hope in You!

as you come through for your people, your servants, remember their families and protect them!

in the name of God the Father, the Son and The Holy Spirit!
