I am Elizabeth Brewah from Sierra Leone, West Africa working with We Yone Child Foundation, a non-profit charity catering for the education of vulnerable children in two slum communities within the ages on 6- 16 years from classes 1-6.

My focus is community service learning of which i can be able to get the kids involved in cleaning their own communities, for Kroo Bay which one of the comunities that we work in, i, the kids, teachers and the parents can be able to conduct a cleaning exercise every Saturday to help the kids get a condusive atmosphere for learning and from the assessment we had conducted a few times, recycling can be done if we get the necessary equipment to help us do the recycling.

Thanks for the post. You are a part of a great initiative. It would be much more helpful and informative for others if you write in detail how you work with the children and what exactly do you do? looking forward to read more from you.

Great initiative you got there. Getting the children involved in recycling is truly building a clean environment always. I love the initiative and will to get tips from you on how to work with the school children since I am trying to initiate market gardening as a solution to the plight (lack of basic needs like pads, body lotion) of young girls.

Greetings from Sierra Leone, West Africa. Our doors are still open waiting for that one man, that one woman, that one organization that could step in to help see our children have a better life, a better environment.

p>Recycling is one of the better and most effective way our environment can be clean as collecting plastic waste is one of the finest means of engaging the children in community service learning. To recycle is to clean, to recycle if to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
