A world of equal opportunity!

"Imagine no possessions, I wonder if you can, No need for greed or hunger, A brotherhood of man - Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world... You may say I'm a dreamer, But I'm not the only one, I hope someday you'll join us, And the world will live as one" - These are part of the lyrics that John Lennon sang in the song - IMAGINE!

When I think about that song, and how John Lennon portrayed the perfect world in his imagination, I can only say, I surely join him in wishing the world would be like that!

My personal Vision in life is to be the best that I can, and nothing will hold me back on that, I purpose to live life to the fullest, touching those around me and making it a point to help a soul as I go by.
When I was young, I wanted to be like my father, A doctor, he was, now retired and seated back home enjoying his retirement, my dad was my biggest Inspiration, I saw him do things that no one else did. He never gave up on things he believed in, and am glad be seeded that into me. My dad taught me that I can be the very best I can, no matter where I went to school, what my social status was etc.

Today my vision in life is to live to be like my father, have the ambition to say that 'yes I can' be the person that I want to be, only if I set my mind to it! My desire and vision is to see many girls follow in the footsteps of courage, knowing that we have what it takes to change the world - sister by sister!

And for my community and world, I will borrow exactly what John Lennon sang, "Imagine all the people, sharing all the world.." It is a spirit of togetherness and working together beyond tribe, race, gender, stereotypes etc. That is the world I want to live in and I envision. A world where we all have an equal opportunity in education, in attaining jobs, in everything. A world where corruption is a goner, a world with no war.. and conflict, that is my vision for this world.

I know a lot has been said, but if only I can get a chance of being part of the Voices of our correspondent, it will change my life, I will get to know that this is yet another thing that I told myself I can achieve and it came to pass.
I want to use that opportunity to speak to nations, to people, to be a voice to the voiceless, to inspire and build young girls... one of my vision in life is to be a huge mentor of young girls in my Country, I want young girls and women to look at me and say " I want to be like Evelyn" and I believe Voices of our correspondent can be one of the starting point to that dream and vision.

I believe one day, I will be there, like my father taught me, never give up in life, do your absolute best in everything you do, and everything will fall into play.

I want to achieve that dream!
