My name is Erin and I live in Portland, Oregon USA. I began working at World Pulse as the Global Outreach lead in June 2018 with the goal of expanding partnerships.
My global perspective has been most influenced by service as a Youth Development Peace Corps Volunteer (Ecuador 1996-98) and as a Rotary Peace Fellow (Masters degree, Argentina, 2003-4). In both experiences I was given an authentic, deeper look into what others think about the United States, and why. Having this viewpoint has changed me as a global citizen for certain. I have been privileged to visit 35 countries in my 45 years, and spend significant time in a few of them. We all have so much to learn from each other, and it is getting easier and easier to share our knowledge, interests and challenges.
Through this community, I hope to learn more about gun regulation, non-violent movements, and technologies that help communities leapfrog through development challenges. And of course, build partnerships!!!!
My vision is for women to successfully change policy and practice (hearts, minds, actions) related to women’s equality in society.
I am seeking more information on youth-led gun violence prevention efforts in other countries.
I am a prolific networker, and may know of a person, organization or entity that is involved in issues you are working on!
