When Women Tell Their Stories!

When Women Tell Their Stories

I have had some opportunity of listening to a man talk but I always conclude in my heart it is never the same with the way women tell their stories. Ask a woman for her story and you are sure to journey into a world that sometimes seems ethereal. Why one may ask? I believe it is because when a woman tells her story she does not just talk, she draws you into the core of her existence.

It does not matter whether she is sharing her pain, joy, fears, inhibitions, dreams, aspirations, wishes or hopes. It does not matter that she is unschooled or learned, what matters is the fact that she is drawing you her listener to the inner most part of her soul. She strips herself of the cloak she chooses to cover with per time and opens up to afford you connection into the essence of her being and person in totality.

I have spent almost a decade listening to the stories of so many women. . Every story telling time affords me a new opportunity to experience womanhood with a sister. To connect with unspoken bonds riveting to the very core of my own being whether it is a story of grief, pain, regret, sorrow or the list could go on endlessly.

Joining World Pulse is another new opportunity to connect again with the voices of women all over the globe. I am excited to be here. To share my own experience as well as glean from the rich culturally diverse wealth of knowledge, skills and wisdom represented here. I say it is great being a part of this journey.
