Keep on Keeping on

The month of October at Big Box started off with us concluding the “Meet the Artisans” campaign. We showcased the beautiful founders of The Puristry Organics, Shillat and Chantal.

The Puristry Organics is an organic skin and hair care (personal care) products manufacturing company based in Kampala, Uganda. The founding partners Chantal and Shillat formed the company in 2020 to address the gap and lack of affordable, locally sourced, skin-safe high quality organic personal care products in the cosmetics and personal care industry as well as look into the fair remuneration of the efforts of the female rural farmers who nurture the soils and tend to the trees and fruit that we get our products from.

In the true Ugandan spirit of togetherness, we celebrated exceptional Ugandan workmanship with a special Independence day 20% off sale on locally-made products. Our Ugandan Independence day sale was a conscious resolve to elevate and appreciate Local Artisans, simultaneously spreading the proudly Ugandan love onto the lovers of Ugandan culture and beyond.

This month, the team planned on how to better tell our artisan’s stories through video content.

The month of October also taught me resilience, to keep on keeping on. The vision and the passion require hard work and pushing through and this month had me do that.
