Did you know Uganda is the most entrepreneurial country in the world as of 2019. Many youth here channel their creativity into small businesses to showcase their talents through different types of craftsmanship. The problem is that people don’t know about these exceptional products. African products are largely stereotyped as being of poor quality, however, a new generation of youth is rising up who invest in their quality and care about good quality output. I would like to be part of the movement that empowers that.
My biggest desire to see Ugandan brands celebrated globally, from exhibitions in New York City to runways in Europe to shops in Asia to TV features in Africa. Big Box’s aim to contribute to the global recognition of youth craftsmanship.
Join me in this movement to support youth brands. Like, share and follow Big Box across all social media platforms to receive regular updates, read and share the blogs with friends, family, and colleagues in your countries and abroad. Support these artisans by purchasing their products. The products are good for daily use, gifts, personal care and so much more. In the next 5 years, we’d like to have Big Box stores in the country and abroad. To do this we need your help and your support. Purchase all that you can and join us in this movement.
My name is Ndagire Esther and I am the founder of Big Box. Big Box seeks to showcase youth artisan’s work to a global audience. We are an online marketplace selling only Ugandan made products from youth led entities and we showcase youth craftsmanship on our site, social media pages and we have a strong email marketing game. Most importantly we tell authentic artisan stories on our blog.
