I am currently in San Francisco and I was invited by St. Mary di Rosa Academies.
It was an opportunity for my NGO, Hope for Vulnerables and Orphans ( HOVO ) to meet with some people and nonprofits in Santa Clara.
I visited the Catholic charities of Santa Clara, the Bill Wilson Center in Santa Clara, Alcoholic Anonymous among others. I talked about the challenges women and girls faced in Cameroon and how HOVO is making the difference.
The most important thing is the vocational school I want to setup back home so I can get women and girls from the interior and remote villages to be trained for free. The school will have 3 major departments with special courses on Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Business management etc.
The departments are:
Tailoring and Fashion
ICT
Catering and Tourism.
We got lots of donations to keep our girls in schools. From exercise books, knapsack and shoes.
We also got bedding for our babies, toiletries for our girls.
We are walking and will get there!
Any way you think you can help this dream come true, we will be very happy.
World Pulse instilled this confidence in me. I am in the US talking today, tomorrow it might be Europe.
Thank you sisters for giving me this push and confidence.
