Introducing myself and my journal: Parisian, Seattleite, and a New Yorker

About Me: I am a senior VP and Managing Partner at Valente. I made the leap to the consulting side after a fruitful 11-year career in America. She joined Valente Consulting in 2004 as a Program Manager and went on to become a Director. I drive strategy and vision for our company along with Patricia (Founder), creating opportunities for consultants to thrive in great teams and projects, and partnering with Fortune 1,000 companies and smaller companies too to help these companies achieve the impact they need. I have extensive experience with project characteristics in areas of product development, build, globalization, localization, engineering, user experience, ecommerce, publishing, international marketing, and project management. I was born in Paris, France. My career started out at Microsoft France back in 1992. I then moved to Redmond to work as a technical writer at Microsoft Corp. in the Office division but ended up doing localization engineering for several MSFT products before moving on to project management. In my tenure in Windows and Office I led globalization requirements on the user experience side and in Windows was behind the decision to move away from using Word format for documentation to the adoption of XML standards. It was natural when I left Microsoft in 2003 to continue focusing on internationalization. Work is part of life, and should be effortless and joyous as life is. Workfills my life. So does my passion for journalism, language, yoga, internet blogging, veganism, environment and animals, and I maintain a magazine at http://Samarcande.us. I also have a passion for fashion, industrial design and architecture, and for filmmaking as I directed several short movies and plan to continue exploring the discussion of several themes via this medium. My Passions: Yoga, meditation, spirituality, walking, environment, veganism, animals My Challenges: Being a spiritual idea in a material world ;) My Vision for the Future: A world without suffering or sorrow My Areas of Expertise: Globalization, localization, social media, international marketing
