Young Africa women initiative is a Kenyan NGO advocating for the rights of women and ending any form of violence against women.
we have realized that deaf and dump women are more prone to violence. The have challenges in fighting for their own rights and also defending themselves when they are facing challenges. YAWI has initiated a special program for deaf and dumb women and girls who are prone to rape, GBV and other forms of violence and are not able to report the cases. they face a lot of challenges when it come so reporting to security officer due to lack of translators for their sign language as well as written language.
YAWI has come up with a digital platform that will be very easy and anonymous way of reporting cases of violence against this special group.
we are therefore looking for women who would like to be part of us sourcing for funds to train these special group on how to use the digital platform as well as assist those who need mobile phones to be able to report.
if you are interested in supporting this special and marginalized group please get in touch with us.
you can also became an ambassador and circulate this info in your circles as well as connect us to funding foundations and organizations where we can submit our proposals and concept notes.
