As a humanitarian actor in a conflict affected areas, work is so challenging. Persons with disabilities are more at risk of getting killed or sustain more injuries.they cam run to safety like others.those with visual impairment don't know which direction to run to,those with hearing Impairment can't hear the shootings to hide, mentally impaired instead feel exited in the mist of random shootings. Worst still persons who are epileptic can't have access to their life support drugs. Either health facilities have been attacked or health workers have deserted work.

Hello Carine,
Your story is a reminder that in disastrous times, people with disabilities suffer such extra and extreme hardships. That your country has been and is under war in addition to this virus adds to the horror. It is humanitarians such as you who remind us all that people with disabilities need to be priorities in getting assistance, and that we who can need to push all governments, agencies and communities to pay attention and make help available.

Thanks Tam for the comet. Sharing our difficulties gives us a relief and reduces the burden we carry in our hearts towards people with disabilities.
Thank you

Hello, Carine,

Did the war cease during this COVID-19 pandemic? You're right with your observation. Those with physical and neurological challenges need more help and support.

Thank you for raising your voice.

Bonjour Carine

Merci de nous partager la situation que vive les humanitaires en particulier et la population en general en temps de conflit dans ton pays. Je pense que la situation est la meme partout. Seule la paix est la solution idéale pour nous épargner des souffrances.

Hello Carine,
It is a very sad situation for persons with disabilities. They are often left out and their exposure to insecurity is very high yet no one is there to protect them.
