Fride Fotso

I am Fotso fride, 25years a young professional in the field of agro-industry, I have more than 2 years of experiences. Am originating from the west region of Cameroon. I am holder of a Bachelor in animal production Technology  specialized in fish farming. Am passionate about sustainable development and women empowerment. I am the cofounder of AQUAFRIDE Consulting, an agriculture consultancy firm aimed at mentoring, orientating, educating and empowering the youths through trainings. Also, the production, sale and distribution of fresh fish in order to reduce the consumption of frozen fish which is not always of good quality,thereby decreasing it importation rate. I am an ambassador of youth connect in Niete subdivision.  The World youngest population is in Africa. Youths in Africa constitute 19% of the global youth population (May 2015, UN department of Economic and Social affairs, Population division). By 2030, it is predicted that the number of youths in Africa will have increased by 42 %.( UNESCO, 6 August 2017). We note that there is a crisis in the lack of formal skilled employment opportunities across Africa which is exacerbated by the addition of about 10-12 million youths to the labour market each year. Youth unemployment across Africa is high and we the African youths have to take actions to tackle the issue and find a way out. This is why I have put in place the consultancy firm that mentors, orientates, educate and empowers the youths through trainings. My will through my work is to empower the youths .
