My Elevator Pitch

Funmi
Posted March 21, 2017 from Nigeria

My name is Funmilola Ilo. I am a career counselor. I help women and youth find and develop their career paths. I help the youth to develop their career optionsearly on,in a changing world and I work with women on finding career fulfillment in their lives. As a result of this, they become confident, passionate and unstoppable individuals in their pursuit and in turn become better members of society. I hope to do this by establishing a Career Counseling Center, first of its kind in Nigeria.

How to Get Involved

Most helpful to me will be mentoring, experiences, advice and materials on how to set up a career centre. These will be helpful.

Your elevator speech is great! You do an amazing job of providing a full overview in a clear and concise manner (something that is not easy to do... you have great skill). After hearing it, I am intrigued about your work and want to hear more... a true sign of a great elevator pitch! Thank you for sharing.

Dear Funmi,

The access to our own money is the basis of freedom for women to choose our own lives and to be able to live without being in poverty. Your warmth shines through in your elevator pitch. Good luck with your important work.

In sisterhood,

Tam
