Will you marry her?

Will you marry her?

I remember as a kid I grew up watching tamil movies. So for a pretty long time my definition of romance was cringe worthy. But also there was also something disgusting in those movies. The rapist marrying that victim and apparently justice was served. Even more disgusting thing is that I thought that it was the right thing. It is only after I grew up I understood what is rape. I started watching news and got to know more about how much of a messed up place that I am living in.

But then after understanding everything I understood how messed up these movies were. I thought I was living in a place where there would be some sanity. Boy! I was wrong .

The movies that I used to watch was like 15 years ago. Today they are implying the same thing as justice. This is messed up and mostly heartbreaking that the judge is sending her back to that hell.

I saw this news yesterday. I'm a law student and it breaks my heart to think that one year after I will have to work in this judiciary system.

Maybe instead of using restrictions if we educate our kids as what is right and what is wrong and teach them. We might not have to see this day. But then again tommorow the neighborhood aunty is gonna make taunting remarks on that girl because \"she might have done something wrong\". Parents are gonna change the channel or change the topic because \"kids doesn't need to know about all these things\". Again we are going to see these disturbing news on tv and some of us will share the story on how messed up it is.

It repeated after 15 years. And it's gonna repeat unless we get the f**k up and truely understand the gravity of things that just happened.
