Positive Change For The Betterment Of All

Some people are observers, while other people are visionaries. I lived most of my life observing what situations life brought to my doorstep. It wasn’t until recently that I began to consciously create my reality based on my thoughts, perceptions and internal dialogue I hold within the inner workings of my mind. This continues to be a never-ending task of weeding out negative thoughts. I am learning to replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts to enjoy more peaceful, and exciting experiences. In the life of a positive visionary, there is no room for negative self talk, people, music, or places. It takes a great deal of persistence, goal setting, and protection of our inner cores from abuse to live the life of a modern day visionary!
My life began taking on new meaning and purpose after I was terminated for being a woman. I envisioned countless women who came before me, and those who will follow. I saw my life as being a part of something larger than my limited senses could gather. I took myself out of the equation and decided to do whatever I could to make sure this type of blatant gender discrimination would not happen to another person. I saw women in every country around the world with the same dreams, hopes, fears, and questions that I have. I realized we are all connected by our visions for peace, equality, and freedom. I also realized that change is not always positive; it is exclusively up to us to make a positive changes through our thoughts, actions, and visions.
Whether or not we have children of our own, it does not matter. We all have the ability to nurture and support each other through our own unique talents and natural skills. It is our responsibility to take our visions for the future and start molding them today. We do not do this to be on a mission, fight, or protest. We feed and nourish our visions as we would our children. It is our motherly responsibility to the future generations of all children and to the planet. We are the storytellers and the wisdom keepers for the generations who will follow our lead.
After being told I couldn’t do my job because I was a female, I did not become angry. I became unwavering. I found strength to stand up. I found courage to speak out. I found myself grateful for having the freedom to voice my opinions and share my story. I found myself surrounded by support. My definite purpose in life has become to engage in positive change for the betterment of all. I believe by being a part of the Voices of Our Future correspondent program I will be better equipped and educated to continue to utilize my passion to help share the stories of women and children around the world.
I hope to become a mentor for anyone experiencing discrimination. It is one of my goals to mentor and teach people how to channel hurtful and negative based thoughts into something that can be positive and beneficial to all of us. World Pulse gives me the opportunity to tell my story, as well as listen to other‘s stories of survival and persistence. We are able to empower one another through positive support and encouragement through this forum.
It is my vision to teach and share with people that our reality is not happenstance. We are powerful creators of our experiences. It is our attitudes and thoughts that shape our destiny, environment, and future. I hope to accomplish this through writing and speaking through opportunities through the World Pulse forum. I hope to attract many more people, events, and ideas that will inspire me to be of service.
It is also a very important to me to stress to younger generations to know their civil rights and why they are important so they may also be empowered to speak up and stand strong for human rights everywhere. Our connections may not be seen or always acknowledged, but they are forever present through our stories and our inherent rights as human beings. World Pulse brings us closer together and helps us recognize our connections.
