"VOF Week 3: (Opportunities versus challenges!)."

“In every opportunity, there is challenge and in every challenge there is an opportunity”. The first time I read this quote I was wondering what it really meant. Deeply. Until I started the journey of blogging.
Honestly, I have been excited but the blogging journey is not easy. Not at all. Not long did I start the blogging journey than some challenges stare hard at me in the face. There they are- geographica economic, emotional, cultural etc challenges and barriers.

My first challenge of blogging is time. Dedicating an hour or two weekly is practically like squeezing water out of stone. Now, the time reads 9pm where I am. My body is dead aching. It’s been a tough day at work but I have a call to speak out into my journal on Pulsewire. Part of me wants to go to bed. Another part wants me to listen to the call and fulfill the silent promise to speak or women no matter the cost.
Geographically, access to internet, is a challenge. There are times I have to walk hours to the nearest cyber or queue at a cyber café to type and post my assignment onto my journal.
Economically, the cost of browsing time at cyber café’s is a challenge. There are times I do not have enough money on me to pay browsing time.

Emotionally, I feel vulnerable as I pour out my fears and paint to the world what my life, dreams and my perspectives and wish the world would be. Sometimes I wonder what to share on line and what not to share. Right now, I am thinking of what others will think and say about all these challenges that I painting…the whole world is listening!

Culturally, as I communicate with others from different backgrounds and cultures, I have to be conscious and sensitive to the culture of others. I also have to make other people understand my language and my culture.
What has kept me on the blogging journey however is the fact that I have a strong passion for blogging and for working for and with women. Again, I do not easily give up because of challenges when I embark on a particular journey.

As someone who has a strong belief in solutions and answers to any form of challenges, presently I have added to my weekly budget browsing money. I have also allotted time to blog faithfully every week. I have also spoken to a friend so I can type my assignments on her computer so that I wouldn’t have to spend eternity at the cyber typing my entries and paying more Finally, I have decided to discipline myself and to sacrifice some time so I can blog every week
For a long time solution I have started saving to buy a laptop and a digital camera so I can type every time and so that I can capture some sights and add to my writings for the future.
