Challenges are opportunities for greatness.....Nomination for Obisakin Busayo for Spirit Awards

Life poses so many challenges to us such that if you are not careful and fail to handle such challenges you can suffer emotional and mental stress.

Challenges will always be there in life but it is in how someone responds that either breaks them or strengthens them.

2011 was one my difficult years. On 28 January 2011 I received a retrenchment letter from the Central Bank that my job was ending on 31 January 2011.On 29 January my husband suffered a serious illness to the point of death.Itvwas a difficult time for me.A very sick busband and jobless. I spent most part of 2011 attending to the sickness of my husband.Going to South Africa back and forth for his treatments. Then on 16 February  2011 m6 father in law passed away and this was a more difficult time.Comforting a grieving mother in.law and nursing a sick husband and you don't have a job at the same time.

But these challenges made me strong.I started applying for jobs with no joy. Then I got advise to start a Microfinance Institution ...and I listened to the advice .In 2012 I started are searching about Microfinance and in April 2012 I applied at the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe for the license which came out in October 2012.Then in January 2013 I started microfinance operations with part of the package money i had received. In February 2013 my board sent me for an ILO Microfinance Management training course which gave me lots of skills. At that tamining I was selected to be a trainee and was put on a Training of trainers program and in June 2014 I qualified as a certified trainer. This was a key to my rising and today what I am doing is linked to this certification .I am now training and coaching and have done big jobs for International NGOs like the Food and Agrriculture Organisation. So the retrenchme was an open door for me to start my own business Intelligent Business Consultancy which is becoming a brand in my country Zimbabwe.
