My oldest son Sangye is an interesting mix of Asian, African and European mix living with us in Costa Rica´s Southern Caribbean that is in high school and also learning diving with a purpose as an Ambassador of the Sea in the project I preside and develop with many in the community.

At 17 he has achieved amazing skills and two scholarships that have taken him to visit archaeological university in North Carolina and underwater archeological sites in the Florida Keys. However, him main "classroom" has been the archaeological sites in the ocean surrounding his coastal community.
I feel proud of him and in contributing to raise a fine young man who is sensitive to all fundamental issues, including women's equality.
Dear Gloriana,

Hello, Gloriana,
Kudos to you for raising a son who loves the environment. I'd be proud, too, if my sons will turn out to be socially and environmentally responsible citizens. Thank you for sharing this with us!
Hola Karen! Thank you very much, and thank you for your support!
Yes it is a challenge to raise responsible men for the future, specially when culturally they don't fit in the macho world...but hey! it's turning out just fine!!
Saludos!
