Why do you need to find your Soul's Purpose?

My inspiration for this month is an awesome book I picked off the shelf at my favourite bookstore:

The Future is Yours, Anne Jirsch

” Think about what would happen if you did not find your soul’s purpose. You would move from one life to another, repeating the same patterns, endlessly round and round with the same problems, upsets and anguish.

Perhaps your soul purpose would be to bring peace – and once you knew this, you could work at bringing peace. You may do this on a small scale and mediate in family conflicts, teaching your siblings and parents how to get along. You may study politics and promote peace on a grander scale.

But if you do not know your purpose, you may go from life to life with conflict arriving at your door, getting involved in aggression rather than learning to work with this energy to turn negatives into positives. This is one reason why some people are aggressive or have a chip on their shoulder – they have become defensive after many lifetimes of conflict.

Once they know their purpose, however, they can work to resolve it. “
