When dreams become true…!

\"I must say that since childhood, I wanted to be journalist. But journalism was expensive study, as I was a young mother of two kids, who were 6 and 4-year –old. With a sense of grief I took the available chance\".
That was Jacqueline Patino, Pulse Wire correspondent, holder of BSc in \"Business Administration\" and \"Post Graduate diplomas in Higher Education and Local Development with a focus on Gender\".
Adding, \"But fate unfolded another path”, for hours she recalled her story to me through Skype. Behind that innocent smiley face there is a story of sufferings; struggle and determination to make dreams come true.

At the age of 22, she studied and worked like a crazy person for a small monthly salary. Later she managed to increase her income.
By typing and selling cakes to restaurants she improved her income and could establish small business.
From 6 to 10:00 PM, and without missing a class, for more than 4 years, she used to go to the university, where she graduated from the \"Universidad Mayor de San Andres\", the most prestigious Public University in Bolivia, with the second highest grade. That is a marvelous achievement academically, economically, socially and professionally.

After graduation, she worked as a Consultant for a big Consultancy firm and gained more money. She described that moment as \"a big improvement in her life\".

After two years she saved two thousand dollars and began three small businesses, thus she could have her children by her side all the time, bought a car, kept on working in consultancy as well as in indigenous issues and projects for the underprivileged for non profitable organizations in Tarija for 10 years now. She is the most active woman I have ever come cross as she told me she works on the computer for more than 10 hours a day.

She didn't forget her ambitions to become a journalist one day; therefore she kept on daily writing and writing. When she casually joined World Pulse and later received the invitation to become a correspondent, this marked the best moment of her life and the beginning of a journey she was waiting for so long.
