Introducing myself and my journal

Posted June 13, 2013 from Israel

About Me:I am an American living on the Thai side of the Thai-Burmese border. I work for an NGO in human trafficking prevention and child protection. Some of my goals include having an organic farm and sustainable living community, learning computer programming, hiking the Israel National Trail, finding the perfect papaya salad, and holding a headstand for ten minutes.

Dear Hana,

I am so impressed with the work you're doing to protect children from human trafficking. Thank you so much for working to end this horrible practice! It would be great if you would share with us the work that your NGO is doing on the Thai/Burmese border in a journal entry.

It's great that you've joined World Pulse. Welcome! This is a unique online community of women and men from more than 190 countries around the world who meet here to share our stories and experiences, offer support and encouragement, and help each other find solutions to some of the most grievous problems we face today, such as the trafficking of human beings. I encourage you to reach out to others who share your passions and interests. You'll meet many others here doing similar work and you can network and share ideas and inspiration. When we stay connected, we gather strength and courage to face what we our confronted with.

I enjoyed reading your profile and learning about some of your goals in life--an impressive list! :) Let us know if you find the perfect papaya salad. It sounds heavenly!

To help you learn to navigate the World Pulse website and get started networking, please take a look at the Getting Started Guide:

Thanks again for joining, Hana! I look forward to reading more from you in the days to come!

With love,
