I am a BUILDER...

A few months ago, I met someone I have enormous respect for at a function, a mentor and he asked how I was doing. I was extremely stressed at the time and smiled, I replied I am hustling sir. He quickly corrected me and responded you are not hustling, I see you and so do others. What you are doing is building... Since that day, I have done alot of reflecting and come to love and accept the statement. The truth is in my professional and humanitarian life, I am investing by building communities, teams, leaders and human capital. In my personal life, I am building and connecting people. In my physical life, I am building a healthy lifestyle. In my spiritual life, I am building my own relationship with God, while working to be a better version of me. Grateful to almighty God for using amazing people to speak to me in moments of doubt and challenges. Grateful for strength, grace, protection and wisdom as I continue building.... I am a builder. What statement are you rejecting for 2019? What statement are you taking into 2020? Who are you grateful for?

Hello Hauwa,

How are you doing? Congrats on your first post!! I love the reframe from "hustling" to "building." One belief change can make such a huge difference in our lives. I'm rejecting any forms of "not good enough" going forward into 2020. "I am enough!" is the new mantra for 2020, among others:-)

I'm grateful for World Pulse, Little Soul, all my sisters, my husband and cat:-) How about you?

Thanks so much for sharing! I'm looking forward to seeing more posts from you and to learn more about your amazing work and goals, too!

Hope you have a great, rest of the weekend!

Yes, I think it's comforting for the publisher knowing you are fine and doing well before you asked them how they are doing. This portion
" I'm grateful for World Pulse, Little Soul, all my sisters, my husband and cat:-) How about you?"

Most of my comments I tell them am doing fine, you have brought the perfect details.
This I think is comforting. Else who are you to ask someone how there are doing :-). I hope you got my point.

Hi Hauwa,
How are you and a happy and prosperous new year. Thank you so much for your post. I have learnt the term "building" since I was so used so "hustling". So I will use this new term in 2020. Thanks once again and have a blessed week ahead.
