Finding My Bearings

The biggest challenge with working with the sort of children that we work with is that after trekking in the hot sun climbing the hill for 30 minutes, you find girls who are highly unmotivated. And after you have spend a whole hour raising their spirits, you still have to negotiate another 30 minutes trek. Add that to the other bit of working i have to to earlier and later in the day, the duration of walking comes to close to one hour and a half.

By the time I am done and have arrived home, I am worn out and have to find my bearings and the motivation to face the new day. But it is all worth it at the end of the day and I thank God for the few girls who are already catching up

Hello James,

It is very encouraging to know that you are willing to push yourself under harsh conditions to make sure that these girls have a teacher. The photo is great, and speaks to the kind of teacher that you are. I appreciate that you have an understanding of what affects the motivation of these students, and I wish you good luck in your work.

Best wishes,

Tam

Hello James,

It is amazing to see the lengths you go through daily just so these girls can have a shot at education. It is nothing short of heroic and I applaud your perseverance.

The sacrifices you are making today are not wasted and they would speak for a better tomorrow for these girls.

I wish you all the best in your endeavours and more strength as you go on.

Warm regards,

Change maker you must sacrifice. Thank God for his Grace. The lives of those girls will take a positive turn because of your sacrifices.
