Spirit Award

Being in spirit, means to always be available for the people who are important to you, the people who matter. Being spiritual makes a person emphatic, kind, non-judgmental and compassionate. Even though I have met a lot of women who have these characteristics on world pulse, there is one who stands out.

Jill Langhus Griffin is the world pulse sister who is always on everyone's trail. Despite her having an organisation to run and life's commitments, Jill always remembers to follow and keep track of world pulse sisters inquiring about us and our well being.

There are sisters like me, who are not always on world pulse all the time. We are more of occasional visitors than constant ones,  so in order to ensure we do not miss out on anything,  Jill posts updates and resource notifications and links from world pulse and encouraging us to apply for opportunities via Facebook. This takes time, commitment, dedication and effort.

There is no better way to embody the world pulse spirit more than through the compassionate non-judgmental encouragement and shoulder that Jill has for every world pulse sister. My face lit up in a smile every time I see a message from Jill, because I know this is someone that has my interest at heart. The last time we chatted in my messenger, Jill listened to me with kind interest and offered me help which even though I am yet to take up means the world to me.

And she is a superb encourager. I am yet to come across a post on world pulse that has no comment from Jill. Every post, no matter how scanty will have Jill's endorsement and encouragement on it. This is HUGE. I have never understood the power of encouragement until I joined world pulse. Jill have embodied that in strong, specific and distinguished ways.

Hence my 2021 spirit award nominee is Jill Langhus Griffin.

Thank you Jill for always being in my inbox.

Thank you for always tagging us all on world pulse opportunities via Facebook and sliding into our inboxes.

Thank you for always being there to listen and stretch out your hand of sisterhood.

Thank you for being kind, loving, caring, compassionate and encouraging in a non-judgmental way.

Thank you for being on World Pulse.
