WOMEN, are women's best friends

Whenever I am faced with a women related problem I feel I should contribute my little voice to, I think of world pulse. Not even my blog or my website.

Everytime I come on world pulse, I get excited by the inspiring stories I read, the different faces I see, the solor and diversity on display and most of all, the geniune love and unity it is creating.

Even though I did not see it when growing and all through my adult life, I have always believed that the phrase we have always be told that 'women are wome's greatest enemies' is just a ruse created by the world of men to divide us further and ensure we never get together.

Even though I grew up seeing my father's wives always at each other's throats with my mom taking the bulk of the misery as the first wife, I have always believed if only they could stop fghting and band together, thier husband would have been toast. Therefore, he would never let that happen lols. These were thoughts of an innocent preteen, but the older i grow,  I have had cause to not only believe in it, but ponder on it.

If there is anything being married and rowing up in a polygamous home has taught me, is that NO MAN IS WORTH IT. Not my tears, not my peace of mind, and not my sister's peace of mind. Now, I look back and take stock of my life and realise that I have stuck to those beliefs even without knowing it.

My dear sisters, it is long overdue for us to change the narrative. We have to begin to sing a different song, 'WOMEN ARE WOMEN BEST FREINDS'. Women are not women's worst enemies, and never were. They were just playing to the gallery and manipulations of patricarchy and misogyny.

We have already began, I have seen as much on world pulse. We need to keep up the momentum and never stop.  Because if we continue to believe women are women's worst enemies, nothing will change.

And more Maryam Sanda's will continue to emerge from our society.

Hi Hawa ,

Thank you for sharing . I trust you are doing ok. I myself I am from a polygamous home and I stand for girls and women because I know what my mother had gone through because of polygamy and she is the first wife to my dad as well. I am from a Muslim background but I consider myself as a social being doing all I can to promote social cohesion and the spirit of onenes in every being most especially girls and women for they stand a better chance to change the world.
Thank you once more for sharing and please don't hesitate visiting Mbiame New Vision non profit organization's page

Dear Tata,

Thank you for being the first to comment on my ramblings lols.
We have a lot in common, my mom was the first wife too, so I am sure you have an idea of what this rambling is about.
Even though a man, I am certain in you we have a formidable ally in our advocacy and work to achieve justice, fairness, and equality for women and every other marginalised group of people in our society and world.
I am excited to meet a male feminist on world pulse. I urge you to stay true to your belief and purpose of ensuring a better world for all.
I shall visit the Facebook page. It is my hope that we shall work together someday.

In sisterhood and love,
Hawwah

Hi Hawwah, the conclusion of your post just brought back the tears in my eyes I had tried to roll away since seeing the video of Maryam Sandas sentence. I totally agree with you, if only we will refuse all the lies we have heard and believe about a woman being a woman's worst enemy then we will thrive in our quest. We are our best friend and we will uphold each other until we are heard.

Dear Lizzy,
It is extremely sad when the same society that created the monster is the one that condemns it.
Our society's beliefs and perceptions of marriage and the responsibilities it heaps on the shoulders f the woman is what created Maryam Sanda and many others like her.
I hope we learn.

Hi Hawa,
How are you doing. Your title says it all. Women are and should always be women's best friends because that is how God created us. Only women understand women related problems and so we should always be there for each other and should never be judgmental towards each other. Thank you for pointing this out. Have a blessed day.

Yes indeed Anita, we are our own best friends, not enemies.
We must change the narrative.

Anita Kiddu Muhanguzi

We already have changed the narrative with world pulse. We are each others pulse.

Hi Hawwah,

How are you doing, dear? I agree that we need to change the dialogue between women. What is this petition, dear? It's it something that you feel strong about? I read it but I didn't feel like there was enough background information on it to know what was going on.

Hope you're doing well and that you have a great weekend.

Dear Jill,
It is a petition against the court order for Maryam Sanda's case.
Someone asked for it, I just cannot remember who.
Thank you for asking how I am doing.
I am still in the process, of fixing ME.
And I shall come out a better person.

Hi Hawwah,

Oh, I see. I don't know much about it.

Oh, okay. Let me, or us, know if you need any additional support or encouragement, dear. You don't have to do it alone.

Yes, you will:-)

Hang in there, dear. Better days to come:-)

Hi Hawa,
The following in your posts catches and keeps my attention:
'women are women's greatest enemies' is just a ruse created by the world of men to divide us further and ensure we never get together.
Thank you
I am already moved to collaborate with other sisters to write a book on that spurred by the World Pulse Spirit.
Keep it going
