Save the Favours

Some few days ago, we celebrated the international day of the Girl child. But at this point, I would ask, what future is there for the Girl child is she stands even the slightest chance of sharing the same fate as Favour?

For us at sheroes.ng, celebrating the day of the Girl child goes deeper than gatherings and lectures. It is about analysing the life of the Girl child both now and in the future. And unfortunately, even the NOW is not assured. It is threatened and at risk of being cut short by rapists, just like Favour's life was.

And that is why we are determined to ensure the involvement and participation of all stakeholders towards ensuring not just desired punishment for rapist and sexual offenders, but also support for victims.

If you have not signed the petition, there is no better time to than now.

Save OUR FAVOURS. Sign and keep promoting the petition.

Hello Hawwah,
I signed and shared your petition a while back. God bless your perseverance. It was uplifting to listen to your journey to safety and healing during Aspire (clapsss). Thank you for your vulnerability and strength.

My dear Hawwah,

Thank for sharing the heart-wrenching story of Favour's violent rape and murder.
My deep condolences to the parents of Favour and it is my hope that they are surrounded by love and understanding.
It is very hard to find words to express one's feeling at such cruel, inhuman, inhumane and savage treatment of a little girl whose only crime was to venture into dangerous territory that her parents were not aware of.
I have signed this petition. It is my prayer that Favour's murderers will be brought to justice.
Keep the good faith. More power to you.
