Pen Pals for my Daughters

I would like to introduce my daughters (ages 5 and 4) to what life is like around the world for other little girls their age (school, food, family, holidays, favorite games, environment, etc.). I thought it would be a lot of fun to find a few pen pals for them, to correspond via snail mail - so we can send letters and pictures. I'm looking for pen pals for them that are around the same age (4-6ish) and female. We live in rural Oregon, USA. Anyone interested?

Wonderful idea, I and my family are Americans living in Nigeria. My daughter is 10years, however I do have many students in our school who may be interested, let me know? For us it would be a great for our English language arts curriculum.

Thank you for reaching out Yo'landa! I would love to exchange letters! If your daughter is interested we could do that or we could send a letter your way introducing ourselves and you could let me know if it seems like a good fit for your students too. If you let me know your daughter's name and an address where we could send a letter and some pictures we would love to get started!

Our school email address is thelearningcenterjos@gmail.com. Which is better for us to use rather than a physical address. I havent seen a mail carrier since I've been here. And email it would be guarantee a safe delivery of all mail.

My daughter's name is Kyauta, which means gift. If it is OK by you, I would like to start these pen pal letters next month. Our school is currently on summer break, and doesn't. reopen til' September 9th. Which at that time I would introduce your idea to my staff, and to our Kinderginten and 1st grade girls. Your idea is great and fits into something we were already trying to incorporate into our curriculum as a letter writing, and written communication activity to build writing skills.

We look forward to networking with you.

Our school name is:
The Learning Center Jos.
Plot: 23629 Liberty Blvd.(Police Station) @Millionaire Quarters Jos Nigeria.

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and atests usually required from an organization like yours);
3. Write (baby steps...!) and discuss a project draft - to validate the priorities within your group and to train your grant writing skills;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your oroposal/project. Start now!!!
5. Visit the World Pulse website >>> My Pulse >>> Resources and then use its filters (right upper corner) to find what may really suit you;
6; Share the opportunities that may not apply to you but can interest others;
7. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests; yes, tell these storiies too... - they will enlighten and inspire your network.
