Living and sacrificing for the orphan and venerable children from Cameroon republic and Nigeria displaced by communal wars

Tekum Pentocoster is the definition of a woman who is transforming the world with her

extraordinary works toward the betterment of humanity. Her passion for making a difference was

demonstrated toward Sari Kirkland, an individual she provided home health aide for. Sari needed

daily home health aide services that included meal preparation, running errands, adult

companionship among many other services provided by Tekum. Sari faced financial hardship

and as a result, lost her housing and was unable to pay for her home health aide services. Tekum

did not leave her alone, she moved her into her own home and welcomed her as part of her

family. Sari was cared for and provided with necessities that she needed without paying Tekum.

This is a woman who embodies the World Pulse Spirit because she speaks out for what she

believes in while listening with empathy, and seeking personal transformation.

Tekum believes necessities for living a successful life are not a luxury but a human right,

everyone deserves access to healthcare, food, clothing, education, and housing. Her belief was

put into practice as she opens her home and provided necessities for new immigrants from Africa

to the state of Massachusetts. For any immigrant, there are many challenges you face as you try

to build a new life in a country you probably have never been to before. Securing

employment to obtaining affordable housing can be very daunting. Tekum has continuously

stepped in for so many immigrants, assisting them with employments as she has employed many

in her home healthcare agency. She has also helped with financial assistance for many before

they can get their first paycheck. The list of the aid Tekum renders daily for the new immigrant

is endless. She is an independent woman who is trustworthy and passionate about rendering help

to bring about social change.

She observed with horror and sadness the war atrocities toward the people of Southern

Cameroon, as many people were killed and kids were left without anyone to care for them. She

believed these kids deserve to be cared for regardless of their current circumstances, and she

spoke up for them. Many of us give donations to different causes that we care about and believe

in, Tekum went far beyond donating toward the care of these orphans she established an

orphanage that provides every necessity they need, this is not just remarkable it is heroic. Heroic

because it takes a special kind of person who is passionate about making a difference to see such

a need and be determined to go the extra mile to make things right. Starting and running any

non-profit organization is very challenging as oftentimes management has to balance raising

sufficient funds for operation with increasing their mission impact. Running kids of tomorrow

foundation the non-profit organization Tekum started constantly faces unique challenges that

would make the best management professional quit, but that is not Tekum. She listens to her

management team with empathy for how they have to deal with the daily hardships of running an

orphanage in Nigeria, West Africa while providing pragmatic solutions for problems. One of the

pragmatic solutions she came up with is greening house farming at the orphanage, making use of

the latest cutting-edge farming process that leads to bountiful harvest which feeds the kids and

reduces operation costs.

Among many distinguished influencers who work to bring global attention to humanitarian

crises have expressed admiration and praises for the selfless workof Tekum. Adeola Fayeyun is

a journalist who has highlighted Tekum’s contributions on her platform. Here is a link to the

video highlighting her work for the Kids of tomorrow foundation. “How do we change the

world? One random act of kindness at a time” Morgan Freeman. If we all could do our part like

Tekum, we sure would change this world for the better, and future generations would thank us

for it. It is with a sincere hope that World Pulse Spirit would consider Tekum as worthy of this

generous and prestigious award as this would not only continue to encourage her to keep up with

her contributions towards her many causes, but it would also help shine a light on her

organization and causes. Based on this great sacrifice for the orphans and vulnerable, we hereby write to recommend TEKUM PENTECOSTAL for the World Pulse Award 2022

 Thank You.
