Poem, Oh my Love, Nigeria

Oh, my Love, Nigeria

Oh, my love, Nigeria
Wish women and children
Live without fear
Stay secure and fair

If violence, witch-craft lies and stories
Gives you no peace
Do not let them despise
Keep your pace with the peace of God

If never-ending hunger,
Forces you to anger,
Do not let your mind bitter
Never lose your virtue
Violence is no answer

Someday, sometime empty your heart
Let it be direct
Cry for help if your heart bears no more
Ask God for care
To give you peace and cheer
Oh, my love, Nigeria
How would that be a cure?

Hope someone will hear
With whom will share tear
To help you clear the fear
Keep your trust in God’s peer

Oh my Love, Nigeria
