We have kept pace with the new normal by devising a way to ensure we complete our app training which we started just before the pandemic. The girls were given laptops to use for one week return and it would be given to another girl for another week. Like i mentioned the girls looked at various SDG's and decided which of the SDG re they would solve using their app and we have currently completed thirty of the Apps that were submitted to Technovation. The thirty Apps had 5 girls per team totally the number of girls 150 girls from the 10,000 target.

We have also enrolled another 100 girls for introduction to AI which kicked off on the 28th of July and would end 29th of August .They would be building basic models, train the model and test them, to ensure the system is intelligent.

The girls that built the climate change App got a fund to plant 500 trees in Abuja and it was an activity we all enjoyed as we had an opportunity to heal the environment .

Here is a summary of some of the Apps that the girls just developed

1. App name: Life Saver The app aims at teaching the populace how to administer first aid treatment in emergency situations such as seizure, snake bite, dislocation, fever, strain, fracture, bleeding (hemorrhage) and other accidents that may require prompt treatment. 2. App name: Get Chemo-psych The app is aimed towards giving a better learning experience to students who find difficulties in their practical classes especially chemistry practical. It contains a psychological test which includes a series of questions which help those confused to choose a career in chemistry based on personality, attitude to work and talents. 3. App name: Jewel Sail Provides tips on safe hygiene for girls during their periods. Jewel sail have four sections which are the menstrual education, menstrual hygiene, menstrual calendar and the activities. Jewel sail does more than tracking your period but also provides you with all the necessary knowledge required on menstruation 4. App name: SMACTECH SMACTECH is a smartphone application that is designed to solve the problem of Infant Mortality and also virtually connects rural patients in underdeveloped communities to doctors and mobile hospitals, with the help of a health care worker or volunteer. It helps connect patients who need personal professional medical attention. 5. APP Name : ClimAX A mobile app designed to help curb climate change through its users by planting carbon sinking trees. A user picks up the trees for planting from the company and is required to upload pictures of the environment. The app also rewards its active users with solar panels, clean cook stove as alternatives to generators and firewood. 6. App Name : ExcelConnect For as low as ₦100-a-day school fees, students get quality action learning, free books, uniforms, lunch, and free sanitary pads monthly for the girls, through a crowd funding process. People and organizations will connect via the app to donate funds to supplement the outstanding cost of fees per child. 7. App name: Illicit Journalism Detectors (IJD) Would you like to rid the internet of false news stories and misinformation? Then consider using (IJD) Illicit Journalism Detector to stop fake news. 8. App name: Care for the Aged The app connects Old People to Geriatricians remotely, provides vital medical tips to Old People and provides access to health insurance in partnership with NHIS. 9. App name: i-counselor

This app helps develop ones self-esteem and confidence, also for those who cannot speak out to people around them. Those who feel no importance of themselves, those who think what they say might hurt or seem annoying to other peoples hearing. Those addicted to a bad habit and need someone to talk to. 10. App name: VOTETECH An app which proffer quick solution to this problems, an app which aid easy voting, an app which drastically reduces the rate of violence and rigging during election and which will also eradicate barrier of location through online voting. 11. App name: CORONARY HEART DISEASE (CHD) This mobile app was developed to assist in sensitization on causes, prevention and care for Coronary Artery Disease. Also there other benefits in the app such as what to do when having health crisis, Manage diet, Manage BP, Sporting activities, Emergency volunteer specialist to reach out , etc

These are a list of some the Apps created by the girls, none of the App is on the play store yet as we are working hard to ensure some of they are on the play store soon.
