Let’s help young women enjoy womanhood

Womanhood is a stage in life that for every girl comes with excitement, anxiety, expectations, fear and also challenges. These challenges come with extra costs. It’s a natural process that makes a woman feel complete and look forward to greater things in their future. And yet the challenges this phase in life comes with can cost a woman her whole dream. Menstruation in Uganda though a natural and sacred phenomena is my society. As Intergeneration Centre for Sustainable Development (ICSD) in Uganda we are committed to help more girls go through school uninterrupted by the challenges that come with menstruation. In a society impoverished to the level of girls left to take care of their ‘special’ days of the month leaves her no option by stay away from school to avoid embarrassment. We are calling on all woman loving people to support a girl/s stay in school by providing sanitary pads, soap, 3 pants, washing basin and cloth. We estimate that 25$ can support a girl go through this process of menstruation comfortably for 6months. Our target is at lest 100 girls.Your support will enable us achieve our dream.
