My Journey

Hi, I am Immaculate from Kenya, a mother of wonderful twins, one surviving. The biggest challenge I am having right now is resources to scale up my organizations work as per my vision. I am actually addressing women economic empowerment challenges and teenage pregnancy which is on the rise in Kenya, specifically Western Kenya according to survey reports.I counter this challenge through pairing girls with mentors in school and annual mentor-ship camps where sexual and reproductive health information and material is shared. In future I would like to build a community resource center which can act as a learning center for school dropout teenage mothers and boot camp for schooling teens. We also have quarterly women empowerment training dubbed 'boresha dada' translated to 'make a woman better' with partnert organizations. I support adolescent girls through their transitioning into adulthood and teenage mothers; in my past events I have been supported by cooperates and government agencies.I am in need off technical advice on proposal writing, a website, organizational management skills, moral support/encouragement and other available resources essential to my organizations growth.
