Who is Irene?

“I was born and raised in Mankon, Bamenda in the North West Region of the Republic of Cameroon. I grew up with a lot of admiration for culture and nature. The rich and colorful displays of my culture, and the way these blended with nature and the beautiful African landscape marveled and inspired me endlessly from childhood. As such, I developed an interest in hand crafts and particularly crafts involving the use of traditional hand-spawn organic cottons, local materials or custom made fabrics. My earliest attempts at designing date back to my infancy thanks to my mother’s generous and ever-available collection of traditional African fabric; and now, after years of experimenting with a variety of traditional African materials, we have our own “iN” fashion brand of excellent quality to meet global demands”.
My vision: To add my voice in promoting African culture through my traditionally inspired designs
My mission: To encourage the production, development and promotion of our local Cameroonian traditional fabrics and designs.
