The power of Digital Media

Hi everyone,

I am so pleased to announce that my campaign on male child sexual abuse has picked up momentum , and is just 3,000 signatures away from the 50,000 goal.

Thanks to the Digital media, my campaign has reached out to people all over the world and gathered a lot of support. It has also been carried by various news agencies like HuffPost , NDTV.com, Times of India, DNA, Scroll, Press Trust India , and many other reputed agencies.

I have also been inundated with abuse survivors trying to reach out to me, from all over the world. Here is one such letter that has immensely touched me, and I wanted to share it with all of you-

Greetings from El Paso, Tx. USA,

Thank you for the work you're doing with your photos (and otherwise) regarding sexual abuse and assault. Your work in wanting to ensure that all children are protected, irrespective of gender, is VERY healing to me.

To have just learned about your work through a facebook page called Male Survivor is most fortuitous. I feel a lot of what they post is centered around white males and that it lacks an intersectionality inclusive of different ethnicities, sexual orientation, etc... Hence, to have seen a post of theirs on your work was a gem!!!

A couple of months ago I learned that I was abused as a child which predisposed me to being groomed and raped by my high school English teacher which I rationalized away by the fact that we had a 5-6 year long relationship, all based on a lie. She would rape me while I slept drunk and not of legal drinking age.

This has explained so much of my past and my own past abuse of others and infatuation with sexuality at an uncommonly early age.

Your work and your smile are very healing to me. And the fact that a woman is advocating for protection of all, including boys, makes it all the more powerful and sacred. I just wanted to share that with you.

Thank you!!!

Louie...
