This Kind Of World Is Possible

I stand aside and watch as they work in the manner of ants in the summer. The laughter fill the atmosphere and it became very beautiful to see some smile from within. It was pure joy written all over their faces.

From scratch a world trade centre is sprouting faster than ever, for it is the industrious God-given instincts at work. The Lord blessed the women and in turn blessing the world.

The younger generation is learning to be the better people because women are in different arenas in life doing something worth learning and initiating to the next generation for it must be past on. As the bible say, "shame on the one who does not teach the young generation what he was taught from the living book (the bible)". The young ones watch, dream and aspire to be what they want to be because they believe they can just as the women are striving and reaching for success.

The health units and courts of laws are devoid of women with mutilated lips, arms in slings and heads with bandages with swollen eyes. Not even one woman in probation office or child support centre fighting for the children or sleeping away in the cold bushes guarded by mosquitoes or hidding in some far away land to protect her children. Only meetings to build the world to help lift the needy to a level of self-sustainability. "For we are the same, equal in every sense." They laugh as they work on.

No trauma centres for the survivors of assault or harrassement. All is history. For all those centres are now for recreation, education, museum for those the little ones to learn history and to take care of the victims of natural disaster. And these projects are to make everybody counts and not to recover from anything selfish done to them by some greedy or blood thirst leader or even a family member who made them do things against their will to the psychological satisfaction of the offender.

The freedom I see these women enjoy is just heavenly. For they speak with boldness against all the bad things happening and work their way out to find solutions. This is because there are no threats from abusers. The development and concentration is not disrupted in any way.

The equality is sky-rocketing bringing the kind of respect and shared responsibility not forced on a man or woman. And the children are quick to observe and copy it with the love  for home, peers or community. This kind of world is possible.

Economic empowerment has given women the stand needed and this has flagged off the violence free world as she can earn a little from the project started by the grants given to a group she is in and in many a case, the man can drink his money and the woman is still able to provide for the children and her husband who would beat her to death had she failed to put food on the table.

Food security, with the different modern farming methods right from planting to storage, a woman and her children have been saved from violence and abuse.

Education of girl child has led to a home where human rights are known and so a wife no longer sits and cry through out the night but will run and report to the authority where she is helped. But this has to be extended to the grassroots where the older wives who did not attain some education can get the basics.

The law which is so tight has to be put in place, like an eye for an eye for anybody who abuses, harrasses or assaults a woman so that they can never get off the hook but pay for it so that those who would have wanted to can erase it off their minds.

Hi Brenda,
Of course I like your outline developmental strategies. Education, economic empowerment, security etc.
These are the key points for development. We hope to live in such a world in the future. I term it Paradise as always. No pain and any kind of suffering in such a world.
Thanks for sharing
