Announcing the Selected Fellow

Thank you for applying for the Opportunity Collaboration Cordes Fellowship and for your patience in anticipation of this delayed announcement.

We are excited to announce that in partnership with World Pulse, the Opportunity Collaboration has chosen Lindy Wafula (mamaAfrica) as the recipient of the Cordes Fellowship to attend the 2010 Opportunity Collaboration in Ixtapa, Mexico. Lindy is the Founder/Director of Project Africa, an organization that promotes gender equality and empowerment of women and girls in rural Kenya. Congratulations Lindy!

We were so impressed by the high caliber of applications amongst this group of grassroots women leaders. Your essays make a powerful testament to the work that's happening worldwide in the women's movement. Thank you all for applying for the fellowship and for sharing your incredible work and vision with the PulseWire community. You are all leaders for women both in your own communities and for women worldwide, and we are honored to have your voice and leadership amongst us.
