Each One Teach Five

I am pleased to report to the World Pulse community that our Each One Teach Five: From Digital Media to Social Change successfully went well. It was tremendously joyful to have worked with Rabia, one of our 2013 Voices of Our Future Correspondents, whose passion and enthusiasm is contagious and energy of her patience and kindness radiates out to all of us.

Rabia and I reached out dozens of students in Asian University for women; introduced them to World Pulse; taught them how to create World Pulse profile to be part of our community; showed them all resources at World Pulse home page so that they could use the best of them; trained them on citizen journalism in particularly about profile writing, front-line journal and multimedia story telling.

We started off this Each One Teach Five training or information sharing sessions in AUW by posting posters all around the campus to invite all the students to join us.

World Pulse community has been heavenly platform where all women across from the world are connected and it has been spiritually healing space too where we all have come together to believe in intrinsic values within ourselves. It has been revolutionary women’s world where each of us can find a significant role to play and to amplify voices of individuals to be powerfully transformative. Throughout our together-leadership-empowerment-journey, we gained much more than we could ever imagine; we learned citizen journalism and digital empowerment; we established beyond friendship-sisterhoods with courageous and inspirational women across from the world; we built greatest ever mentorship with most generous and kind-hearted mentors; and we formed a well-rounded community to which we will always come back and keep update our leadership journey.

We have learned and gained a great deal at World Pulse; therefore, we earnestly wanted our classmates and friends to be part of our community too; we wanted them to be able to have all wonderful learning and sharing experiences as well. Rabia and I sincerely and faithfully encouraged each one of participants to speak up and share stories of theirs because we wanted them to feel empowered and see all great possibilities as well. Even if we could not keep all the participants throughout all three sessions, most of participants reported that the sessions were very helpful and encouraging. Many of them have already created profile and started sharing their stories. It has been one of the most rewarding feeling when participants showed their interests, passion and excited to learn more about World Pulse.
