INTRODUCING MY SELF

Dear Olanike, the sisters in the group!am pleased to have you welcomed me into this community.Sometimes last month,i read about World Pulse, how i got the link to WorldPulse, i can not remember. Each day,i read peoples post i get inspired. That women, has come together to liberate the women fold of various kinds of Maltreatment,Intimidation.Cheating E.T.C it make me a bether woman. All through mylife,my pain has always been seeing my fellow woman cry because of a man.Thank God is becoming the thing of the past.

What inspired me most was when i realized, i can help liberat a community my heart filled with joy. Iam a Nigerian from the eastern part of the country where poverty is the order of the day,my community is such that many young girl/married women took to prostitution because of poverty and the only means of livelihood. Many of them don't even belief they can do anything because no capital to start one.But after joining the WorldPulse,i went back to my Village, organise a meeting in which so many young girls/women were in attandance.I spoke to them on the danger of prostitution.my next plan is to go into an Empowerment Programme.

My intention is to teach them how to make

1 soap

2 Candle

3 Liquid Soap

4 insecticide etc.

My vision is to see a decent and responsible Community.where the girls and the women will see reason to be independent of themself .Where the rich will not see the poor girl/woman on the street as a sex slave because of money .Where they will not be a generation of poverty and the children will have a better Education.

Regards

Jane Kalu

Hi Jane,

It is so amazing to know that stories can inspire to action. You read, you decided and you took the leap. This is so uplifting. Keep the fire burning.

I really believe in empowering communities to become self-sustaining and wealthy, which is your worthy goal.

A quick question, How do you intend to support the start-up phase for the beneficiaries after the training?

Best Regards, Fasoranti.

Hey Jane!

I get inspired to hear stories such as yours...and one of the most unique attributes to your story is action! I believe that the true essence of leadership is action and as a woman I am so proud of what you are doing to empower people. You have challenged me to be more of a do-er than a sayer. So THANKYOU, for sharing your story!

Regards,

Sheenaz
