Another Dream

Sometimes I am teased because I have so many dreams and visions.  But this is who I am.  Setting aside visioning and dream time for me is like drinking water.  It nurtures me and keeps my spirit alive. I believe that part of the crisis in our society is that we have a crisis of imagination.  Good change will come faster if we all more actively imagine what our world could be - instead of only fighting against what is.

A new dream has been coming to me lately.  I want to publish an anthology of women's imaginations for the future from every country in the world.  I will ask her to very specifically vision what her country would look like, taste like, sound like, feel like, smell like when she is living in the country she dreams of.  I would collect these short stories - no more than a page - from each country of the world.   Each imagination will be beautifully illustrated to bring the vision to life.

The reader will be transported into a tangible future that is possible when women EVERYWHERE achieve their dreams for their nations.  Each story rich with the culture and biodiversity of that region.   Collectively, it will be something more awe-some and incredible than any one could envision alone.

Perhaps it would be called, "She Imagines" or "The Future, Imagined."  or perhaps you have a better title for it!  I would love to hear it!

I don't know when I will start this idea, or stop it - but I know that the first step to making something a reality is always starting to speak about the vision.  And, then I see if anyone likes the idea.

You, as a member of the beautiful World Pulse community are already imagining your worlds.  Your many voices are so much bigger than my wildest dreams, and that started with just small seed of a dream in my mind.  Look what we can achieve when we plant our seeds!!

** PS - If you would like to one day consider imagining for your country, comment on this post!

Hello Lovely Jensine,

It's so great to see your post and hear about your latest vision... I love your visionary style. Please don't every stop!

This idea is great, too! I don't know of anyone else doing this kind of thing, so to me, that always is a good thing. Plus, I'm visual, so I can already see the book and sense the World Pulse energy that would emanate from it...:-) I like the idea of "Her Future Pulse," or "What the Future Pulse Looks Like." I like the idea of somehow integrating that it's a WP product.

Yes, so much can be achieved collectively. You're such an inspiration, dear.

Yes, I would love to collaborate on envisioning a future Spain. It could also incorporate all the beautiful culture here, the architecture, food, art, music, and landscapes. Definitely, and yes, please!!!

So glad you shared your new vision with us. Can't wait to hear more about it.

Hope you have a great day!!!

Dear Jensine,
I love this new dream of yours for so many reasons. Reminding us to step past those who laugh at the visionary dreams we have, of possibilities believed to be impossible, the reminder to take time to grow these visions we have within us, as important as drinking water, and concentrating on what could be, rather than what isn't.
I so strongly believe that it is the ideas, the voices of women that have been missing everywhere, needed to balance and heal this world and all of us. This is what I love about WorldPulse. The beautiful and visionary voices of women globally who are creating change. To create this book would be such a leap forward. I see it being read far and wide, everywhere, holding a visionary world plan from women in every country, while we continue to expand the places where women's voices are heard. Read into the minutes of the UN. Read into every school class, business meeting, community meeting, Government Assembly. A road map laid out for us all as we continue on, no country left out, no idea dismissed, what we know in our hearts as women to be possible, flying free.
Thank you for this, you have me thinking on what my country needs, and our responsibility globally.

In Deep and Loving Sisterhood,
Tam

Dear Jensine,

This is a great to read post. I would so love to consider imagining for my country of course. My love for words wouldn't let me down were I to be considered too of course.
What could we take from a tentative title like: Her Pulse visualized; a global community of sisters imagine what their worlds could be...
I mean I started writing my 7th book on Friday so am still on it and just loving the visualizing and typing away feel writing always takes me through.
Can't wait to read how this unfolds
warm regards

Hahaha Jensine

Like you I have a hyper active brain for real. Found my purpose and writing is an inevitable and invaluable part of it. Now, if we are even only a handful from Cameroon wishing and ready to imagine together, wouldn't that be awesome we get to do as a sisterhood? I just can't wait.
God bless you and this project

Jebsine,
I asked an English speaking woman employee at St. Mary's Private Girls school in Livingstone, Zambia, "What are your hopes and dreams?".
She looked at me with a blank face. She had no. idea what I was talking about. So it is wonderful to see you have dreams and are working to make them a reality. You matter.

Brenda, yay! You are counted in. Love this title too.

Hello, dear Jensine,

We benefit a lot from you for dreaming and planting “small” seeds. I am personally excited for this dream of yours to be realized. PLEASE COUNT ME IN!

The Philippines as a nation is rich with natural resources and talented people, but numerous factors hold our country back from flourishing into its best potential. I can only dream of its greatness. I can only dream for the women belonging to the different tribes and tongues in our 7,101 islands. I love your dream so much it makes me weep.

Thank you, Jensine, for casting a vision! This world indeed need dreamers, movers, storytellers, restorers and healers. You are a great sister-mother to this World Pulse family. Thank you for involving us to a new vision; for dreaming with us.

Dear sister Jensine,

In India when a girl is born she is taught that dreaming is a sin and to work on a dream is selfish and even a bigger sin because family, society and patriarchy decide every aspect of her life. But girls and women are learning that what they were told, is a lie. Dreaming is freedom, its liberation of the soul, it gives hope and immense energy. Sometimes where social conditioning has made a soul near-dead, an environment where others are telling their dreams and making them come true, someone may find a new life. Thank you for dreaming, sometimes for yourself, sometimes for World Pulse and women, sometimes for us.

Love and loads of kisses,
Urmila Chanam,

Hi Jensine,
Thank you for sharing your dream. I guess if you had not shared it in the first place we would not be here. I love the idea of imagining a world that we would love to live in. As a little girl I always wanted to live and grow up in a world that didn't have any negativity. A world where people always looked at the positive side of others and always encouraged them to be the best and helped them live their dreams. Many times life throws balls at us and we don't know how to dodge them or how to react when we are hit so hard. People believe that you should learn from your experience which is sometimes true but if I have gone through a difficult patch and I see someone else going through the same, I would rather reach out and show them or tell them how I handled it. This is something that is not possible these days. People will keep quiet and laugh at you when you are hit, hit and hit until you give up and they will laugh.

My dream for a better world is world where we don't hate, where love each other and where we look out for each other. A world where our children are taught positivity and that even if you fall there will always be someone to hold your hand.

Thanks again for sharing.

Hello Aunty Jensine,
This is so an amazing idea. You see I always dreamt of a descriptive and figurative Paradise that I loved to live in, I think your vision has captured me in already haha... God is great!

I have two titles in mind; The Paradise of World Pulse or Back to the Future with World Pulse! There are suggestions.
And for sure no better "person" can describe Ghana than me haha :-). On serious note, cultural wide this book will go far. Depending on our various narrative it can be use or purchase as a tour guide. With it you get to know more a particular country, the language, culture, food, behavior patterns, even the hospitality rate of that that country before you visit. This can only happened through the " Paradise of World Pulse"!
My dear Aunty bring it on ;-)! Thanks for making my day.
Warm regards
Lizzy

Hi Jensine!

Let me just start by saying that this is absolutely great. This is the kind of content that I agree with on World Pulse--your vision overall gave me the widest smile ever.

If you need help, I'm 100% up for the challenge. Perhaps you could use a thing or two from a small country like Costa Rica.

I hope you have a fantastic day!

Hello dear Jensine! I am late to the game as I logged onto World Pulse today to stay connected as the ongoing winter of Montreal is challenging my body and mind to stay open and here and yay, I saw this post!! I love what you wrote and so resonates to be teased in activists circles sometimes for being positive and coming from a place of growth and guided by possibility, rather than lack, so thanks for sharing! I am actually finally reading Gloria Steinem's book Revolution from Within, which addresses something in my heart - transforming from the inside out, ourselves and our relationships which then branch out into organizations and communities, and countries, so would love to hear about how this evolves and include vision of what each of us envisions for a happy, healthy and empowered life, for ourselves and each member of our country!!!

Hugs from Montreal!
Adriana
