Hello I am sarah and happy

Hi all. I am humbled and privileged to be on this platform having you reading my life story. My name is Sarah chemutai born and raised in the suburbs of Kisumu town, a small town in Kenya -Africa.

I was brought up by my uncle and to be brief life was difficult enough. During early childhood at about 9, I was forced to leave schooling to baby sit my uncles younger kids while the elder kids schooled.

For the love of education I found myself learning from  Nelly's home work. We used to be in the same grade and I used to get better grades then her. With time she was better than me and at the end of the day I was less educated.

At  the age of 15 life was unbearable. I left my uncles place and lived working as a nanny for people I didn't know. Besides getting these jobs, I still lived through the mercies of God. Life was even worse than before but never had a choice. In my last job as a nanny i could do very heavy house chores with little sleep, sleeping in a very cold room, had very little clothing and poor sanitation. I could oftenly get brutal beatings and a times left without food to eat.

A neighbor who saw it all came to my rescue. She referred me to her friend who has a salon though quite far away in the neighbouring country Uganda. For sure for the first time in my life I found a home, love and peace of mind. I worked for her deligently and with a short time I had learnt a lot in the beauty and hairy dressing industry. I had built trust in her and also accumulated a clientele who preferred my services.

I started having dreams of having my own business and I started saving and in three years I managed to save about 900usd. In the fourth year the lady closed shop and I went back to my country. Remember I have no place to live and I used my savings to buy myself a piece of land in the country side.

Unfortunately I bought the land without the right paper work and and also didn't do a due diligence. I later found that two other people claiming the ownership of the land. It all ended up to court case. Followed by court mention after mention that never ended. It was time and money consuming and I let it go.

I went ahead and used the experience I have to work as an employee for someone salon in town to date. The jobs are exploitative to the employees and am stagnating on my savings.

I have also managed to educate myself through adult education program. I completed 8th grade in primary education and currently in third grade in secondary education.

I therefore without saying much,I plea for kind assistance to raise funds for me to enable me have my own beauty salons shop.

I would never wish my kids to go through what I went through.

Thanks again for your time and thanks in advance. God bless you
