I have a dream; a vision where all beings and living organisms live in harmony…. everyone lives in peace, and balance has been restored to the planet. Women and men, alike, embrace all their feminine and masculine traits; or even better, we seriously challenge what we have all been taught to believe are feminine or masculine characteristics. Women and girls are loved, cherished, thriving, speaking up, assertive, and men are equally loved, cherished, thriving and speaking up. There is no hate, prejudice, comparison, competition or judgment for anyone’s cultural, religious, sexual, or racial differences. In fact, we embrace and celebrate all these differences. There is only peace, love, harmony and joy!
While this may seem like a fantasy, it could also be a reality. Why can’t we have all this? We are all so conditioned to believing there is only fear, hate, war, and men in positions of power. It absolutely doesn’t need to be this way! All that it would take is faith, trust, and a change in our collective belief system and perceptions. Anything is possible! If everyone, or even if more than half of the population committed to this revolutionary concept, and new way of living, we could collectively evolve and grow into a completely different realm, or reality… one that may seem impossible, unrealistic, and even fantastical. But I believe this is achievable.
Women, and open-minded men, are already changing the paradigm. There are trailblazers and visionaries that see a different future and aren’t afraid to go after it.
Think of our fearless leader, Jensine, who started World Pulse in 2003. She saw a clear vision of an evolved, enlightened future and reality. She knew then, as she does now, that women are the voice and impetus for the current major change that our ailing planet needs, and went for it, to make World Pulse a reality. She did whatever she needed to do, got the necessary resources and key players. She made it happen with pure love, determination, drive, and passion.
Or, Jane Goodall who has not only been a fierce and loving advocate for animals her whole life (especially her amazing chimpanzees) but who also started the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI), in 1977, which is widely known for conservation and development programs in Africa that help to improve the health of women and education for girls, as well as the global Roots & Shoots youth education and conservation program that now has over 10,000 groups in over 100 countries.
Or, Gloria Steinem who is world renowned for her tireless efforts for leading the women’s rights movement since the late 1960s. Her guiding principles have always been love, integrity, and passion. She doesn’t operate from an aggressive standpoint, but rather an egalitarian, objective, and peaceful perspective. She is the essence of grace, poise, passion, and neutrality. In 1992, she co-founded Choice USA, a non-profit organization that encourages people under 30 to support abortion rights, as well as offers comprehensive sex education, sexual health, and wellness services.
Or, Somaly Mam who doesn’t know her real name or birthdate that was trafficked as a teenager but now is a fearless advocate for love and compassion in Cambodia where she runs a shelter (AFESIP Cambodia) and school for girls that have also been exploited. She has been a major inspiration to me due to her selflessness and endless vat of compassion, tolerance, and love. She perseveres even though she has endured so many challenges, resistance, and even death threats throughout the years. To me, she is the epitome of altruism and how humanity could be.
If more and more people would operate from this new realm and perspective of love and compassion; say around 75%, to tip the balance, this new reality could easily shift into place. Our entire world would be a completely different place with potentially no poverty, no wars, no abuse, no slavery, no pollution, and eventually no hatred, or even fear.
I think if each one of us took an oath to ourselves, or even had the personal intention, every day, to be kind, compassionate, honest, authentic, grateful, take responsibility, and to be our absolute best selves, this new paradigm could become a reality.
There would be no competition. And everyone would know there is always plenty of time, love, resources, talent and opportunities to go around. All that it would take would be to convince the collective population to really embrace this new, world concept, to experience it, and then finally to experience it first-hand. Little by little, we can be the difference. It’s not only possible; it’s already happening. It’s not only happening on World Pulse, but collectively, through small breakthroughs everyday. It seems like every day I see posts on something amazing that a woman has achieved that I didn’t know was occurring or that I thought wouldn’t happen in my lifetime, such as first black woman in space, Saudi Arabian women driving, or GM being run by a female CEO and CFO. Also, the media is finally becoming more egalitarian in how they’re portraying women and men, and also having more films, TV series, articles from the female perspective. Innovations to clean and heal our planet are being developed every day, as well. New NGOs are being created every day, too, creating a new world for all of us.
Let’s do this! Let’s focus on what we love; what we’re passionate about; and what we’re good at. We are already creating this new reality in our own lives and on World Pulse through love, collaboration, support, empathy, sisterhood, and solidarity. Let’s continue to build the future we want to see… not only on World Pulse, but well beyond it! I know I’m ready for this new world. Are you?
