A Lovely Connection: Cecille Yllang Montenegro

Hello there everyone,

How is everyone doing during this fine, Lion's Gate day?

I wanted to share a lovely postcard that I got, finally, from our lovely, Filipino World Pulse artist, Cecille Yllang Montenegro. She mailed it in March, but I only just got it a couple of days ago from Japan, where she's currently residing. It was such a lovely, unexpected gift, though. I had forgotten about it since it had taken so long to get here. But I felt so connected to her, and glad to receive it. It brought a smile to my face and I thought about all the trials and tribulations this little gift went through to reach me:-)

This is the meaning of the graphic: here in the Philippines we have a story of mythology about the two gods that represents men and women. "Si MaLAKAS - man at Si Maganda- woman" (the strong and the beautiful). Lakas is not just a word for men but a word for women.

I've had the honor of meeting Cecille when she first joined the forum on December 26, 2016, a month after I joined, and we've been friends every since. You can see her first, introductory post here: https://www.worldpulse.com/community/users/yllang/posts/72916

I hope you enjoy her artwork, and my lovely postcard, too!

This is more about this amazing World Pulse member and artist, as well as her amazing work, too:
